TMJ Syndrome

The Muscles of Mastication; Masseter, Temporalis and Pterygoids, and the Muscles of the Neck; Upper Trapezius, Levator Scapula, Sternocleidomastoid, the Scalenes and the Hyoids, all control the position and movement of the jaw through the TMJ.  All of these muscles can have Active Trigger Points that are Primary or Secondary in referring pain to the TMJ.

NeuroMuscular Therapy can help to alleviate the Symptoms of TMJ by locating which Muscles/Trigger Points are the cause, reducing the tension in these muscles and releasing the Trigger Points.
